I'd love Sonny Dykes, but I believe he will have considerably better offers after this season than SMU- Arkansas, Kentucky, and Auburn all come to mind as potential suitors.

I think we've gotta look hard at Kliff Kingsbury. I've also been an ardent supporter of Bobby Petrino, but it seems doubtful that RGT would sign off on that. Whoever we bring in needs to know and understand Texas recruiting, and be able to recruit effectively here. I'm not saying we should be signing four and five stars away from Texas and A&M regularly, but we should be able to win a recruiting battle with Baylor and TCU every once in awhile.

Question is are we willing to pay it.....

SMU has billionairs and multimillionaries coming out the proverbial ***. Question is what is that price and are we will ing to pay it.

For example: Briles makes 1.75. WE pay him 3 million plus living in Park Cities and all that Dallas has to offer.

Defeatest attitude and willing to accept mediocrity is what got is here.

Yeah, I mean, I didn't take the June Jones rumors seriously five years ago, so I get where you're coming from.

But, unless we're going to wave $4-5 million around, I think the aforementioned coaches wouldn't consider SMU seriously at all. Look at Briles- you're in the Big 12, playing the likes of Texas, OU, K-State, why go to SMU for a little more money to play in front of 20k people against UConn and UCF on Fox Sports Southwest? I think the Baylor boosters would put up any amount necessary to keep Briles in Waco, considering what he's done for the program. Same goes for Franklin at Vandy. We're not the only school with rich alumni.

Todd Berry is an intriguing name, but then again he has a 45-78 lifetime record and only two winning seasons; one of which came at Illinois State 13 years ago. Also does he have any TX ties? I think that needs to be a prerequisite for our new coach
