Just got home from tcu-ut game...

All I could do was remember the 1997 smu game at tcu. Amazing how hopeless things seemed for tcu then. Almost went 0-11. That wasn't all that long ago.
Ah, the only time we had a QB who could scramble and make plays: Ramon flanagan. I used to have self-takedowns thinking about Ramon's scrambling ability.
On a side note, tcu fans seem kind of trailer park. Bad country accents. And the girls all kind of look like miss piggy. Not the best-looking. Give me the UT girls over the TCU girls any day.

Big generalization of course, but my opinion as well.

Give me SMU over either of those schools in every way you can measure it. Academics, campus, girls, teams ... I hate both of those schools and always will, and I love SMU and everything about it. Sorry you had to watch either one of those teams, much less both of them!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Just glad to see the Whorns have a loss on TG. And as for the young ladies, they may not be absolutely perfect but the beat the Hades out of most other schools in the nation.

Considering how Rivals has UT ranked number 1 almost every year in recruiting, it is amazing they lost to a team last night, that lost to SMU last year. A lot of the Rivals guys must have gone to UT, or are paid by UT, because UT never looks like they have the best recruits in the country when they play.

Texas has not won a recruiting title in a while. Here are the Rivals recruiting title winners for the past 6 years.
2007 Florida
2008 Alabama
2009 Alabama
2010 USC
2011 Alabama
2012 Alabama
In fact, UT has not won a recruiting title since 2002 and that was when they got Vince Young.

Its not like besting UT is even a big deal anymore. Its kind of lost its allure.

I wonder if Gary Patterson had Texas penciled in as a loss before the season began...

Texas is not in the elite group - regardless of how much merchandise they hawk at Walmart.

I have this feeling that with Kevin Sumlin the Aggies could overcome their historic problems and eclipse UT as the premier program in Texas. That is a very tall order of course, but I hear more talk about A&M and their SEC schedule lately among casual fans. And Memorial Stadium was unusually quiet last night. Probably 20K empty seats?

No, that's aloha-coaching.

I still have a hard time with the fact that June did not thunk SMU could beat Rice even before the season started.
