I know a lot of folks on this board want a new coach. This season has been disappointing...but I'm absolutely delighted to be disappointed in a 6 win season.
I think we all need to calm down a moment and remember where we've come from. Just remember how much we begged, pleaded and hoped we might get a 6 win season under previous coaches... and for 25 years it was a pipe dream. It's now happened 4 years in a row under Coach Jones.
I'm not saying that the criticism of Coach Jones is invalid. I'm just saying that we should still be thankful we have him and trying to get someone to "improve" things would likely not be as easy as you think.
My hope is that a new conference and an off season without controversy will help with recruiting. Frankly, given the way our new conference is going, we may be in great shape to win the thing.
