Because while some are reacting as if it is, it is not. We still need to win the bowl game for it to be considered a winning season. I do think if they go to Hawaii that June will have them ready to play and they will probably win. But they do have one more game to go before anyone can consider this a winning season.

It isn't winning and it isn't losing.
However, for as much whining as we do about conference realignment and how it ruins tradition and shuts us out, the forces ruling that frenzy is money. And that money comes from TV. And TV wants and needs bowls. So we are benefitting from a market with a football demand and the need to expand that market.
So we are benefiting from a need by the broadcasters and others that want to make money through postseason football games to have teams that can meet that need.
We didn't create the system and it has hurts us but for the moment, we are at least getting some benefit from the grotesque system.

Conversely, we haven't had a losing season this year as we did for most of the 20 some odd years before we went to Hawaii the first time. Under Coach Jones. But thinks for the math lesson.
