SDSU to Big 12?

This would be a brilliant move. A new market and a new timezone. SDSU would bring more value to the Big 12 than the lower-rung ACC refugees it would otherwise need to choose from to reach 16.

That would truly suck. That's one of the team I was looking forward to traveling to. I don't think they will go by themselves if they got BSU to go as well then I can see it.

If the Big 12 is going to make a play for 16, these teams all make more sense IMO:
FSU
Clemson
Ga. Tech
Va. Tech
UVA
UNC
NC State
Duke (maybe?)
Miami
BYU
Air Force

bizarre, but that would truly push the PAC to look at jumping in to Texas. all of this is out of control.

I thought the same thing. If the B12 is going to expand its geographic footprint so far away, it's going to be for a more high profile school than SDSU

This guy doesn't have a reliable reputation so I wouldn't go crazy yet. Either way though, IF this does pan out, it's actually good for SMU's prospects. Perhaps the PAC-12 will be forced to look into Texas much sooner than expected.

@MHver3 is 100% full of crap. He posts crap constantly to stir things up and almost never hits, or generally posts things that are unverifiable (such as what NBC was supposedly willing to pay for the Big East TV contract back when TCU was in).
Go back and read some of his posts from the last month and you'll see...

yeah. SDSU would then have a game in Miami perhaps. Maybe they can get BC in too.

It is unlikely that Big 12 will take SDSU, which is two time zones away without a western partner. Only BYU (less likely) or Boise State are options to strenghten Big12, which would prefer eyeballs not just FB powers. Big 12 will distribute more per team to 12 teams vs. 14/16 without increasing the size of the pie.
However, is Big 12 goes west and picks off SDSU, then Big East will have a very nervous Boise State, who is committed as long as their remain schools west of the Mississippi. In the case of SDSU, they have a contractually out, if Boise leaves.
