Tulane has made zero commitment to winning at a high level. This is just stupid.

I was hoping it was going to be BYU, AFA or UMass.

I love all my Tulane buddies but if you think Dallas and the student body doesn't care about SMU athletics, you should see the apathy level of Tulane's alums, students and New Orleans towards Green Wave athletics. It makes SMU alums, students and Dallas look rabid.

I assume a Tulane invitation is predicated on the anticipated loss of a UConn to ACC, if we are likely to be raided (and Conn. is a preferred loss to a Louisville, who the BE needs to keep at all costs. So the Green Wave is OK, but our bigger need is in the true West, either BYU or AFA.

We showed the Big East that Tulane is ready for Big East Football when they spanked us.

Adding Tulane sends a VERY bad signal to the rest of the country and to the western schools of the new Big East. I would expect them to start seriously considering a return to the MWC.

Separate question is whether Tulane commits to a new, on-campus stadium like we did.
