Pardee was gone. Jenkins was the a-hole who ran up the score.

Pardee was there because it is person Coach Gregg went after at end of the first half when they called timeout so Ware could throw to the end zone. Pardee even personally apologized to Gregg for it and for Jenkins who was the OC.

It was Pardee! He went to the Oilers the next season.
Who can ever forget Jerry Glanville announcing he was giving his game ball to Forrest Gregg in 1990 after Glanville's Falcons whipped Pardee's Oilers 47-27?
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1136439/3/index.htmAs if Pardee didn't have enough to fret about, Glanville gave him more. In the postgame press conference Glanville announced he was giving his game ball to SMU coach Forrest Gregg, whose team was on the ugly end of a 95-21 loss to Pardee's University of Houston Cougars last year.

He coached in the CFL for a number of years and last I heard he was the coach of the Houston franchise of a spring football league that never got off the ground.

Sounds like he has hit a dead end. How appropriate

I was at the game and it was Jenkins. I was also at the game we won at Ownby several years later and relished the payback the team gave Houston.
Go Ponies.

Ironically, both Forrest Gregg & Jack Pardee will spend their final days within a few hundred miles of each other in Colorado. Gregg, who is not in good health, lives outside of Colorado Springs and Pardee is moving to a hospice care facility near Denver.

I was a Senior that year. The books say Pardee was kin charge, but I remember hating Jenkins at the time.

Pardee was head coach and Jenkins was his offensive coordinator. I remember an interview with Coach Gregg in which he said he had no problem with Pardee, alluding to the idea that the real jerk was Jenkins ... Who ended up working for Coach Gregg in the CFL at Shreveport. I never understood that.

If we truly wanted to hang 100, we would have done so. We could have scored 150-200+ if we were actually trying. Remember the UH players were falling down on purpose and punting and stuff on first down plus everybody on roster played that game.

Definitely Pardee and Cougar King it was nice of you all to run in those fresh legs for those 50 yard pass patterns every play.
