Folks..for better or worse...

SMU's strategy is about going to the major media markets.

On Friday night before Homecoming, RGT stated that going to the BE was great in that it gave SMU the media coverage it needs. Expectations are increased applications and donations.

The Dallas Cowboys are in the NFC East because Tex Schramm desperately wanted to be on the air in Washington and New York. Like it or not, there's a lot of value in the major media markets.

I agree. Exposure in the East is a good thing, even if the conference is just CUSA 2.0

What did you expect him to say? That the Big East is wrong for SMU?

This sort of talk is expected from a university president. If SMU changes conferences again, Turner will then boast about how our new conference is so much greater.

In CUSA2.0 there is no exposure, just like now. An irrelevant conference is irrelevant no matter what cities it is in.

I think if Cincinnati and UCONN stay put for a few years that we will be in decent shape.
