Survey

Athletics just sent me a Gameday survey. One of the questions was an open ended question in regards to what is one thing I would like to see done differently.

I suggest that we use this space to voice our displeasure with June's effort, enthusiasm, and recruiting to athletics. Lets let them hear it. Suggest that we need a dynamic, young, firery HC who is capable of taking us to the next level, as opposed to being mired in mediocrity.

Lets make out voices be heard.

There has been a lot of rhetoric about how the athletic department can do things better, and this seems to be a way in which the department is trying to do things better. They say they want input from fans, and they can be reached (link to the list of athletic department e-mails is listed below), so I expect they would welcome e-mails with your concerns, but why sabotage a tool they're using to try to improve the game experiences?

I agree with PP.

I tried to stay away from directly calling out June with the survey. I really tried to come up real ideas that might improve the things they are specifically asking about. I think they realize how people feel about June and there are other ways to voice that displeasure.

Not that I didn't drop a few hints....I did state that the product on the field impacts directly whether or not I want to go to the game.

One idea I was mulling over is possibly adding a few kickoff countdown clocks or some form of siren(not sure if there's a way to do this without making it annoying) set up around the boulevard to encourage people to head to the stadium. Just an idea....

Me too. They're trying to do some things to make it better. Let's see if it works.

FWIW, I have e-mailed Rick Hart before and gotten a response. If you make your e-mail logical and not just ranting, he might respond to more. That has to be more effective than constantly complaining here.

I fail to see how suggesting what I think would be the #1 route to a better game experience (ie. more wins, in my opinion) is sabotage.

I don't think it is, either, as long as it's not the only suggestion made.

But I also agree, use the survey to discuss all kinds of things (music, concessions, etc.) and don't clog up the thing with JJ hate.

Concessions are fantastic in Ford these days, btw.

Great to see the Athletic Dept. taking an active approach to improve the gameday experience.

What I would be really interested to learn though, is what the people who come to the boulevard but DONT go into the stadium think. I really hope SMU is getting feedback from this group cause there is a ton of them.

I haven't received a survey but I would definitely suggest they locate those "boulevard fans" and get their input into what would bring them into Ford.

How about get a DJ to spin tunes people and players actually want to hear. There are more songs in the world outside of Crazy Train & Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.
