TCU Stadium Question

I think the Frogs did a great re-model of Amon Carter and although I think Ford is great, I can't help but be a little jealous. QUESTION: I could swear that one of the announcers on today's TCU-OU broadcast said that stadium suites cost $50 million. Tell me this can't be true.

Founders Club is $15 million a piece.

I think that the announcer said that 6 people put up $15 mill apiece for the redo. I would guess a suite came with the money.

Thanks for the information. Still, that's a lot of dough. Those oil wells must be pumping again.

Definitely jealous since theyre in the Big 12 getting what like 20-30 million a year. They are going to dominate any potential of a fan base in DFW. They will probably put 4 billboards on each corner of SMU's campus.

Christmas came early for TCU when De Loss decided to offer them the invite. And it may backfire because Frog prospects look brighter than Horns in the near future. Did anyone else notice that the FTW PD held off on going after the drug dealers until Big 12 invite became final?

SMU would never get that sort of cooperation from DPD. Ft. Worth is a real college football town now.

The 6 Founders suites were for those who donated $15 million plus. There are 25 other suites on the West side and 6 more in the end zone. They range from $1 million in the end zone up to $5 million on the West side. The 2400 club seats range from $1000 to $3000 per seat per year.
TCU received an invitation to the Big 12 in October. The drug arrests happened in February. The FWPD's first lead didn't even happen until October.

I'm sure they will enjoy cashing their check but they missed out on a certain BCS bowl this season.

Either way they fit in with the criminal element at UT.

they'll still get split revenue from other big 12 bowls. enough with the effort to try to come up with a downside of them going to the big 12. nothing but upside for them. unfortunately.

That has/will translate to better academics as well. Win-Win all around for them.

Yep. The fact that we are slipping in academic rankings worries me. Last time I checked bschool was worst than AM

we need a whole top down change in key areas to get things going.
