Ross Parmley fired today for gambling

Waiting on KTP's response.

Man... That place cannot catch a break. They hire a new president and that doesn't work out. They get left behind in conference realignment. Now their AD gets canned because he was gambling... I feel for the place and people. They have had a rough, rough ride.

Blankenship was probably football coach/AD at his hs gig so might as well give ad to him now.

The guy must of had a real problem to cost himself like that. What does he do now, he can never work in sports again? Crazy.

Re: Ross. The guy is a liar. He lied to Stead. Stead shouldve done a better background check (Same with the pisser) but he didnt. He took him at his word. I think Tulsa will at worst get a lack of institutional control probation slap on the wrist or lose a few schollys. It sucks.

We turned down a Big East Football only invite. Tulane and ECU happened shortly there after. Apparently we have a MWC offer as well. Most of this is on CSNBBs. Take it as me talking bull s...t if you want. I dont care. I have no inside info and other than having a payboard subscription dont know anything else than any other TU tronzers. No one on the payboard really knows anything. Not the same thing as the rich guy on the SMU payboard who had real inside info in terms of info. Tulsa has been very closed about the whole reallignment thing.

There is heavy speculation that Tulsa is moving to the MWC. I think this happen. I would assume this move means no more MWC defections but who knows. I dont think Fresno is interested in Football BE only.

Personally I think the MWC will end up being the LT winner here. Do I think the nBE is better than CDOA? Of course. Is it better than a MWC sans Boise and SUDS. Yes. Will it be about on par with a MWC + Tulsa and UTEP. Probably pretty close. Hoops wise its just as good if not better. I think at the end of the day BSU, SUDS, SMU and UH come to the MWC and form a MWC 16 after you guys get your movie check in 2013. Maybe the BE TV contract is gold and thats great for the nBE. Who knows.

It is also my opinion that Tulsa is concerned with being at the mercy of the basketball schools.

I think we are in the MWC very soon. I would think with a MWC 16, Hair could get a good TV contract especially with 6 MWC teams probably making the dance this year. But who knows...they have a sh....t deal now so who's to say it would change.

Anyway Im just glad we have some options. The Ross deal sucks but it is what it is. The Orsack thing sucked as well. Im looking forward to next year in C-SunBeltUSA and then onto something better in 2014. Hopefully with SMU.

KTP, just curious about your sources. Timing doesn't seem to make sense as Tulane was offered full membership. Did your sources say Tulsa would have turned down a full BE ride?
