I don't believe Briles would leave Baylor for TT. Just my humble opinion.

I'm still in utter shock that Tubs took the Cincy job. Didn't see that one coming.

I'd think it's a step up, isn't it? Bigger school, lower admission standards, etc.

Briles is a TT grad. He also coached there under Leach when he left Stephenville. Wasn't he in the running for that job when Tubberville was hired? He would be a good fit on the South Plains.

Tubs HATED life at TTU. I expect he goes to Cinci for 1-2 years and catches on with a SEC school.

spoke with a baylor guy yesterday who says they think he is gone to TT. Hasnt signed extension yet.

I can see him leaving for Texas Tech. He played at Houston and was lured to Baylor for more money after turning around the program at UH having lasted 5 seasons. He has been at Baylor for 5 seasons and turned it around there as well. If Texas Tech offers more money I think he goes. After all, they are comparable jobs, and he graduated from Tech. I remember many UH fans grew tired of him after a while saying that he reached his pinnacle and they needed someone to take it to the next level. While I disagree, he may think that way himself.

As of Sunday, Dykes hadn't signed with Cal...a couple of possibilities.
