Ja'Gared Davis
Margus Hunt
DJ
Zach Line
Taylor Reed
McJunkin
Kevin Grenier
Aaron Davis

Many of these people were key anchors on this team. Any reason to believe we will win more than 4 games next season?

You are forgetting Pittman and Collins, both big loses.

With the weakening of the BE we should win more than 4. Our division alone could amount to 5 wins.

we re-load linebackers, O line and recievers pretty well i think. D-line takes a big step back - and that will be a big problem. we need JUCO help on the D line immediately.

secondary will be better just due to getting some guys healthy again

what we need more then anything is better play calling during critical situations, more imagination on offense (i.e. probably means new coach) and we HAVE to get some young turks out their recruiting.

We do lose a lot of solid players but we have some solid players coming up. And we should have some players that played this year improve. We may well struggle but I don't feel its all gloom and doom just yet.

I'm interested to see what kind of offensive line we roll out next year. This year's group was a patchwork group, but three of them were seniors. Next year Gottschalk will be a senior, as will Lowe, but he hasn't played in two years. Lasecki did a great job as a freshman, but who else? That's more of a question mark next year than this year, if you ask me.

Appreciate the outlook. I have no insight into our depth and how good some of our younger guys are. I am concerned about losing a lot of quality defensive players. Our defense was really good this past year and probably understated when you look at our time of possession and turnovers on the offensive side of the ball.

I think the offense will have to get a whole lot better (I thought this was June's thing) to compensate for a defense that will be depleted of quality seniors.

Glad to hear we have some depth in some areas.

We may well see a LB corps with more speed than this year's group. Yenga has serious speed and size. Zach Woods has an off season to put some weight on. He will be experienced and that will help. We get Acker back and he is very solid on the outside.

We do need receivers to step up and perform. That has been the real shock this year. The receivers just didn't perform up to the caliber we have seen in the past. I know many can’t stand him but I think GG could finally reach his potential next year. A very good QB will help this O dramatically. I’m actually excited to see what this young man can do next year.

2-10 at worst, 5-7 at best. Not the greatest schedule for a rebuilding year.

I agree that receiver is a worry due to the fact that the group as a whole underperformed badly this year IMO. Bowl practices, spring ball, voluntary summer workouts, and another August camp should help the chemistry between Gilbert and the receivers. But we simply can't have the number of drops that we had this year and expect to do well offensively.

The defense was pretty good this year, but not fantastic by any stretch. I was frankly a little disappointed. They had some good games and generated a lot of turnovers. But it was hardly a dominant unit. I don't expect a big dropoff next year. Maybe some, but not a whole lot.

I expect better pass D and probably not as good vs. down hill running teams.
8)

We will be more experienced at saftey, DB.

Big factor: Zero learning curve for Garrett Gilbert. He'll end up all conference.

The ridiculously hard non-conference schedule next year has almost guaranteed us a losing season. We play TCU, TX Tech, A&M and Baylor for our non-conference schedule. 0-4 to start conference play.
