Since they played both teams some asked what they thought about both. Good comments IMO.

Having been on that bowl trip, I know that:

There are a LOT of fun distractions.
Fresno isn't exactly known for having good citizens.
A lot of SMU players have already been on that bowl trip.

I think it will be a close game depending on how much mai tais cost that week.

Most seem to say that they are faster and more athletic than SMU.

Fair disclosure: I didnt watch or attend the SMU/Tulsa game. I heard about a third of it on internet radio.

Fresno has a very explosive and very fast paced offense. Tulsa's defense shut them down by getting pressure on Carr. Something I think SMU's defense can do. We also shut down their run.

Tulsa came very close to giving the game away. We spotted them two pick 6s and had some special teams f-ups. Sound familiar? Honestly most of us were shocked that we won the game as poorly as we played.

Fresno shouldve won the game. I think they are a better team than us. You guys saw what happened @ Ford so Im not going to go into the details of that beatdown. You forced turnovers, kicked our [deleted] on special teams , bulled over us with Zach and Gilbert made some great running plays and hit Darius down the field. Our offense is pretty one dimensional when Cody Green hits a wall.

I think this will be a close game.

I agree with this assessment, to a certain degree. I thought the same thing when the matchup was announced. Hawaii can be a huge distraction.
