If you didn't see the last couple of threads, Houston and us are pretty much attached at the hip as far as alignment goes. We bring money and they bring (relatively) better mainstream sports performance. I will appreciate the day this isn't the case anymore (conference stability or one of us becomes as solid as TCU) but we're nowhere near that right now.

Well, they may be potential partners but the numbers show us that they are not in a better bargaining position. And, I couldn't resist teasing Cougar King... because I know he will see this...

I think Houston was supposed to release their final drawings of their new Stadium today. One drawing leaked and it looks impressive

Why dont we talk about deficits instead - thats the real picture, as well as TV / cable fees

I'm not surprised Memphis is that high - they have been ranked in the top 5 nationally in attendance within the last decade in basketball; it's a consistent moneymaker.
But I'm surprised we're higher than Cincy - their basketball is also profitable and their football team has done well the last few years.

UH has more than Boise St and Boise St is a pretty good team.

Exactly. I think the UH upside of market plus new stadium makes them a better long term partner than Boise.

All this talk about the 6th conference is pointless until the maryland deal goes through.
