Has anyone read the Fresno board on Scout? They are madder than a bunch of wet hens. It's a fun read and has some insightful thoughts on why SMU clobbered them. Most say lack of preparation: Fresno in Hawaii on vacation; SMU, on business. Many say hubris or arrogance: Carr thinking Heisman, Team thinking BCS buster next year, and some calling for firing HC. Sounds much like our board after the Tulane debacle. Few of them gives us any credit at all, but the way our seniors on defense played, I doubt they had a chance to win even if fully prepared.

it was very clear very our seniors wanted a win, and even more imporantly for us - our non-seniors wanted to get our seniors a win. That is a good sign for the future. Mustangs digging deep to do something for other Mustangs. That is how you build a program.

Anybody notice that out beat down of FSU was worse than that administered by Oregon, by the score anyway?

They have a complete thread about SMU using steroids in the last 4 weeks up to the bowl game to play like a powerhouse.... They are insane.

I read their game thread on Christmas morning, waiting for the kids to get up. That was almost as fun as watching the game.

What's really hilarious is their comments before the game predicting a score of 50-0 and such.

I posted on there before the game and they were pretty [deleted] SMU. No respect at all. And afterwords, only Hint gets kudos from them. Its like their team completely screwed up and SMU had nothing. Anyway, they do seem identical to us at times after a defeat.

I think we give a ton more credit to our opposing teams then just about any board I have seen. Of course, we had about 25 yrs of practice so you would expect us to be experts at post loss analysis.

More than that, the pre-game play by play is the funniest thing ever considering reality was anything but that!

Amen, those guys were such EXPERTS with their predictions of 'no chance' SMU. Ha!
