Could be a great story line if Alvarez can pull it off to go 4-0 lifetime in the Rose Bowl.

Both are wearing the SMU boring red and white uniforms. Remove the logo on the white helmits and and you have no clue who is playing. Same crud Nike has done for SMU.

Private schools 7-2 with Stanford likely to make it 8-2
are gradual changes in admission/academic progress evening the playing field a bit.

Oh, and I guess you can win with smart guys. As shown by Stanford, Vandy, and even Rice against us.

Another disastrous year for the B1G in the bowls. Gee - what a surprise.

Northwestern and Stanford will end up highest ranked teams in two BCS Conferences. I hope Notre Dame gets their [deleted] kicked by Alabama but they are No. 1. Vanderbilt gets 9 wins in SEC Conference. Baylor with 9 wins in Big 12 -likely Top 25. TCU ought to be shot for fumbling away victory on 4 yard line. Only other loser was Duke which hadn't been to bowl in about 30 years

Oh and I thought Stanford's colors were red and white. Yet saw black hats. Very confusing.

It's not RED! It's Cardinal, as explained to me by a Stanford grad.
