The D.C. media loves Josh LeRibeus. Now it sounds like they're enjoying talking to his mom, too.

We’ve talked before about Josh LeRibeus’s cursing habit, and during a call with Holden and Danny on 106.7 The Fan Monday, he had to be censored twice for slip-ups. After his interview, the tattletale radio duo got LeRibeus’s mom, Debbie, on the phone to talk about it.

"He’s from Texas," she explained. "That’s how we do stuff around here. That’s how we roll. And he’s just, you know, that’s Josh. That’s Ribeye, that’s my kid."

Good for Debbie. Burgundy and gold are much nicer colors than Navy blue and aquamarine silver. Burgundy reminds us all of drinking and happiness. I will concede that the Redskins current shade of gold is closer to Packer yellow these days. But that was adopted back when Vince Lombardi coached the Redskins. Love that they're wearing both colors again. Blue is just cold.

I admire athletes who act professional like RG3.

However, I'm glad SMU and its players are getting notice.

I admire Josh.

And Debbie was always a trip! In interviewing Josh at home, it would always turn into an interview with Debbie instead! I really wish June had come to SMU a year earlier, or I had graduated a year later. But I treasure those conversations.
