1949 lost to ND in the cottom bowl. Walker could not play and Rote had a good game. ND was voted nc for the year Oklahoma, Cal, Army were also unbeaten that year.

OK, I was there, and yes, we were HEAVILY outnumbered, but for all intents and purposes, that was a home game for the Aggies.

SMU attendance is spectacularly poor, but there's better examples than that game.

I'm not talking about attendance-I'm talking about a new breed of SMU fan that appears to [deleted] in their pants every time we schedule a quality program

They won't be Preseason #1 but if they beat Alabama on 9-14 they'll be #1 when we play them on 9-21 (assuming that game isn't replaced with an FCS buy-a-win).
