It appears that the BE is close to finaling a deal that could:
- Finalizing a one-year deal in basketball using an 18-team model
- Include ESPN's Big East Big Monday time slots, the Big East tournament and a select games on CBS during the regular season
- Selling a package of 10 FB teams for next season and 11 for 2014 and 12 for 2015.

Given a recap I saw recently, Cincinnati, USF, Temple and UConn, as well as all the other new FB members are obligated through the 2015. I assume the deal is contigent on stability through '15 and that the revenue should be 'reasonable' and better than CUSA, of course.
Now the goal is to have two or more members in the Top Top 25 with the top BE team competing for access to one of the six Premier Bowls. In any scenario, we need to be near the top of the league consistently.

I hope we get a good deal out of this... I was really hoping we would get fox rather than CBS but oh well.... Any idea how much per team this is going to be? I hope it's 2 to 3 more than MWC just to make Boise feel stupid same for SDSU.

It used to be 1.5mm. Whether it has gone up slightly or not it will be lucky to be that once the Boise special deal cuts out some valuable inventory.

Thanks. So around 1.5 give or take. Would think aresco could get at least that much. But I am obviously biased.
Does anybody know if SDSU got in on the special deal or did they just decide to stay for the travel and other reasons.

not sure but I would assume just for travel and other reasons. MWC didn't NEED them and they don't want to be an island in the nBE.

At a Monday (1/28) morning Breakfast today, Aresco says "... the Big East wants to keep its name as it rebrands, and wants to add one more school to give it 12 playing both football and basketball after Navy joins the league in 2015
