Mustangs in the NFL

All of the NFL's Mustangs are relatively young. The oldest, I think, is Thomas Morstead, and he's 26.

So let's say they all make rosters again, or most of them. That's 10 guys:

Thomas Morstead
Emmanuel Sanders
Kelvin Beachum, Jr.
Bryan McCann
Taylor Thompson
Sterling Moore
Cole Beasley
Josh LeRibeus
Aldrick Robinson
Richard Crawford

Next year, Margus Hunt will be there, plus some combination of Zach Line, Taylor Reed, Ja'Gared Davis and maybe Spike, Pittman or someone else?

Raise your hand if you thought we would ever see the day there could be as many as 12-15 Mustangs in the NFL. Things were bound to improve from where we were, but I never thought we'd have that many in the pros. Suddenly, you walk in to a sports bar and there's a football game on, and you have to stop and see if there's a Mustang or two playing. Pretty cool.

When watching the NFL, if I jump up screaming and fist pumping my friends and relatives always say, Let me guess -- he played at SMU

Funny how SMU has more receivers drafted into the NFL the last 3 years and Beasley and maybe DJ next than TCU, UT, TT and ags combined.......but then you look at our success recruiting those guys out of high school and their production in college and not very impressive except for Sanders and Beasley and Aldrick/dj every now and then.

I used to be a college football-only guy, and honestly, I wondered if we'd ever get more than 1 or 2 Ponies in the pros.

Now I'm watching on Sundays and Mondays, too.
