Can't say I disagree with his strategy. Regardless, right now he is hard to stop.

Doesn't hurt to be throwing to big physical receivers and TEs with good hands when the defense sells out on the run. Makes it easier to get them the ball.
Following that, we need to be recruiting more sizable receivers. They're a remarkable asset.

Just make sure the top two 49ers RBs are declared academically ineligible for the Superbowl.
Simple.

Any truth to the rumor that Kaepernick got a brand new tattoo on his butt right after that 2009 Hawaii Bowl that said "Stampeded" ??

Did he offer any advice on stopping Army?

Nope, but he did offer advice on Pitt and Fresno. Whose team are you on?

When we played Nevada, their QB was the only running back they had for that game that was a threat. So focusing on his running wasn't that hard. Against Army and Navy, there are a lot more running threats to account for. It can be done, but requires specific assignments and a lot of defensive discipline.

You're right, we lost one of four bowl games when we had a quarterback with a broken finger and a jacked up ankle, and the team was frustrated to be playing at home instead of traveling. Oh, the horror. While you're at it, please make fun of Larry Brown because he clearly is a mediocre/uninterested coach after losing to Southern Miss.

We are. Jeremiah Gaines is 6-3, 230, JaBryce Taylor is 6-2, 186, J'Marcus Rhodes is 6-2, 190 and might play receiver.

I'm getting sick of seeing teams not showing up in Bowl Games, and making the "we deserved a better bowl" excuse.
Reminds me of the time Cal "deserved" to go to the Rose Bowl. But Mac Brown lobbied the Longhorns into the game. Rather than proving their point on the field, Cal went out and lost the Holiday Bowl to Mike Leach. Cal fans are still crying about the "injustice", and how Mac Brown is the devil.
You have 4-6 weeks to prepare for a bowl. Show up motivated and play to win.

No question about it. We have shown up three times and enjoyed lopsided bowl wins. Everyone has bad days, and college players are younger than most of us. It's human nature. It's also a drastic improvement over where we were.

I was at the SMU-Nevada game and I would have sworn Nevada had some running backs on the field besides the QB.
