Hmmm ... very happy for DJ, but a little suprised ... and no All-star game invites. I can think of 2-3 guys on this years team that might deserve the opp to go to the combine more (not incl Zach and Margus). But hey, great for DJ ... good guy and we have all seen the flashes/potential .... wish him the very best.

yeah, i'm surprised as well, but very happy for DJ3.
I would have thought JGD, may TReed, would have gone before DJ3.

You mean like playing in four bowl games and watching 10 teammates in the NFL after decades of virtually nobody making the NFL? Yeah, that sounds like advantages.

DJ has really nice career numbers. Not surprised he got that nod to go to the combine, even after somewhat of a down year. Especially after the ES, AR, and CB have caught on to 53 man rosters.

True, he has to benefit from Sanders, Robinson and Beasley doing well in the NFL, and yes, his numbers are very good. But most of them came when he was clearly the #2 or #3 guy. As the #1 guy this year, he was inconsistent enough that I'm surprised he got a Combine invitation. But if he's going, let's hope he dazzles them.

It's hard to have a consistent year when defenses know you only have to cover 2 of the 4 receivers.

SMU probably wouldn't be over .500 without Darius Johnson over the last 3 years. Probably wouldn't have lost to Tulane with him. He's made big plays in big games throughout his career and has been the No. 1 WR for the last 2 years

With more than 2,500 yards of receiving and 22 touchdowns over the past 3 seasons his productivity has been consistent. We were all hoping for a monster senior year but a lot of that has to do with the new QB/O-line play in addition to his injuries.
Hopefully he performs well at the combine and we have another Mustang get drafted.
