Meyer Moving Ohio St. South

I love making fun of the Big 10 and their inability to compete with the Sun belt because they don't have access to the recruiting hotbeds availiable on West Coast and the South. Urban Meyer apparently understands and spends much of time recruiting outside the Big 10 area. 13 of 25 commitments came from the South or West outside the Big 10 footprint. Smart man. Michigan alsoo has a great class. That's about it for Big 10 other than a decent Nebraska Class. The rest of the Big 10 is non-competitive in recruiting at Top 40 or above-some well above.

I think Michigan finally has a good coach, after the Rick Rod fiasco. Being from Michigan originally, I'd love to see them get back to beating up on Ohio State more often than not. Not holding my breath mind you, but losing to them I think like 7 of the last 8 year pretty much sucks.

turns out that no one in their right mind wants to deal with that abysmal weather when there are plenty of great options in the south

things to avoid if you have a choice: nasty weather, ugly girls, unions, bad beer, curling, hockey (all of which abound in the big 10)

pretty good brats though.

I resemble these remarks.

I might add we also have ... real weather, smart attractive ladies, Midwest temperament/work ethic, fantastic craft beer, lacrosse and ice hockey.

A guy I knew well played for Michigan State. They have 3 from FL. The rest from Big Ten Lands.

What the hell is "real weather?"

Ice hockey rules, unions are vital and curling is more fun (and a lot harder) than it looks. It's kind of fun, actually.

Hahaha. Great post. So true. Why anyone would forego the chance to play at Bama, FSU, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Florida, or heck even Ole Miss this year for the cold, dreary Midwest is beyond me.

Unions are vital for what exactly?

I've been in Wisconsin for about a year now. The weather sucks, that's for sure, but the beer is incredible and I've been pleasantly surprised by the women (if you can get past the accents)- lots of blonde farmgirls. Hope to see some Big10 games while I'm up here.

But yeah, Urban realizes he can't just recruit Ohio and Michigan anymore.

Also known as 4 Seasons with Snow, a color green that is not seen in the SW and spectacular falls during FB season. I will take and enjoy the outdoors here in the winter vs. Texas summers.
