"The Big East’s current deal pays football schools a little over $3 million per year. The offer from NBC would pay those schools roughly half that amount."
this is disappointing.

We should be happy to get any sort of bump from our current situation since, you know, it's the exact same conference.

We should at least double that by splitting up our programming with CBS and ESPN.

I'm not sure what everyone expected... The lineup after 2013-2014 for this conference is pretty similar to where we are now, so why would there be a big bump in revenue? Unless the Big East is going to disperse all of the exit fees to its remaining members, we will come out in the red with the increased travel cost without the increase in revenue.

aside from next year, shouldn't be that much of an increased cost in travel. we are just renaming cusa.

So TCU will be rolling at 26 mill per and we are at 2 or 3. As a wise poster on another board said, that ship has sailed. Hello bball school.

Heard TCU is getting about $35M/year between the TV deals and Sugar Bowl.
the main reason I hear the Big12 doesn't want to expand is because it could mean per school revenue may not grow.

looking like a slight bump in revenue in exchange for losing Rice and Tulsa as nearby conference mates. I'm hoping Tulsa is the next to join

I thought 3 mil would be a fair agreement... Talk about what a mistake it was to pass the window with ESPN... Yes the tcu deal in the big 12 will most likely destroy us as any future reputable football program. I don't think we will be a bball school either. I think best shot just get at the Harvard like sports and start focusing on that. I mean 3 mil (if we even get that) will put a tad ding into the deficit... I dunno this is a doom and gloom statement but doesn't this feel like our future..

Pray for PAC to feel compelled to go to 16. It's our only hope
