He was the Redskins’ second-highest pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, and something of a surprise. He helped bolster the depth of Washington’s interior line, but significant questions still remain about guard/center Josh LeRibeus, whom Washington selected out of SMU last spring with a third round pick.

Have to think with the Skins huge cap penalty that they might get rid of Lichtensteiger and give Josh a shot at the starting LG position. He looked good when he played at the end of last year.

Article said they have 19 guys with expiring contracts, and with $18 million in salary cap penalty, they can't keep them all. Shanahan seems to think Lichtensteiger is Russ Grimm, but he never looked good in the games I have seen.
