Apparently the BE football schools are looking at the name America 12 and are registering domain names to that effect.

I kind of like A-12, but I'm not sure the A-10 (Atlantic 10) will agree!! But they may have bigger problems, as they're getting poached by the C7.

Lousy name, too close to C-USA and the Atlantic 10. Should have went with a version of the Metro one.

No good. I'd prefer American Metro Conference and forget the number, that will be changing anyway. AMC, of course some of us older folks remember an automaker of the same initials that didn't survive. However, the cable channel AMC is still around.

For many Americans, AMC Theaters is where you go to watch movies.

I think America 12 is too close to CUSA and America East

The CET Conference has a nice ring to it: the "Can't exclude Tulane" Conference.

Perhaps Lockeed can be a sponsor they build a fighter named the A-12.

Hate the name it's too generic. We had a chance to brand the new conference and this does nothing for us in my opinion.

Its too generic, and I am not a fan of a number in the name, since we know that will likely change often.

Small consolation, on any conference list, whether written out, or as an acronym, it should be listed first in football and 3rd in basketball. So we got that going for us.

Not that I'm not a proud American or anything like that but I do feel that the name America 12 does seem a little cheesy... Why don't we call it the Justice League while we're at it?

ditch the number. Not many good options really. Heck just call it what it is, the Great American City Conference. If it holds together long term, the real angle is promoting more civic and local pride in these schools and possibly some civic rivalry.
