Has any one checked other schools' fan boards?

Unless I missed something, the new name hasn't been finalized yet. But most people are crapping on the America name. Lots of people liked the Metro name.

America 12 is the one that's been discussed in the media

I was reading my sports section this morning and perusing the basketball conference championships that have begun. First one that jumped out at me was the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Why would we want a name that close to another? Why not just call ourselves the Big 12 SEC Atlantic Coast Conference? I do not necessarily like America 12 (but my vote does not count anyway) but let's be a little original. In the good old days of yore I always kind of pitied the Southwestern Athletic Conference in that the got lost under the shadow of the SWC.

Metro is favored by many on the Big East boards on CSNbbs

I say American Metro Conference, the AMC.

Should be the ESPN Conference. Then they wouldn't disparage us
