Great for Margus …. Nice dilemma to have. I agree, no need to jack with all ready great numbers … not much upside, do the field drills. Tear it up Big Boy.
Tear it up Big Guy

What would it hurt to test again? If he doesn't lift as many reps or run as fast, he could point to the combine and say that teams already saw what he did there, and chalk up a lesser performance to a poor day, right? But if he comes out and does 40 reps or runs a 4.5 or something, then he could only help his stock, right?
I guess there's a risk of injury on the lifting part, but other than that, I would think it would be worth another round of attempts.

I don't think it would be interpreted that way. If he doesn't come up with similar numbers the Combine wouldbecomea 'fluke'.

That seems hard to imagine. There's no secret that Margus is incredibly strong and ridiculously fast and athletic for a guy his size. I would think a sub-par Pro Day showing would be viewed as the fluke.

I think that almost everyone who works out well at the combine does not work out again at their Pro Day. I think the general feeling is they have more to lose than they do to gain.

"Then, one of the funniest moments was when I met with the New England Patriots. I walked in and Bill Belichick was sitting there in his hoodie, with his computer in his lap. He looked up at me and said, ‘so you’re the Margus Hunt I’ve been hearing about for four years!’ I didn’t know how he had heard about me for four years, but then I remembered that he knew June Jones, so I realized (Jones) must have told him about me. That was pretty cool."
Ok coaches, Go recruit.
We have 10 in the NFL over 4 years thats not completely horrible.
