Sure seems like we have an above average lifting team.

RT @RickGosselinDMN: Big turnout at SMU's Pro Day today -- 23 NFL teams with 27 talent evaluators, including Jets HC Rex Ryan. DE Margus Hunt the big attraction

Craziest thing I read on twitter is Rex Ryan asking Margus to do outside linebacker drills. I never even considered that he'd be an OLB in a 3-4, but I guess you never know...

It wasn't outside linebacker drills. The Jets use a lot of fire zone blitzes, in which their defensive ends drop in to coverage, so their ends are asked to make a play on the ball every now and then. But they're not looking at him as a linebacker, even in specific situations.

Thanks Pride, just going off what Calvin Watkins tweeted...something along the lines of Margus being surprised he was being worked out at OLB by Rex.

Not that it makes a lot of Diff, but I saw a copy of the actual state sheet for todays pro-day ... it showed Zacks best 40 was 4.65 and T-Reed was 4.63. What really caught my eye was;
1) How well Spike did ... very impressive numbers ... IMO the best pro-day (I'm excluding Margus). I'm betting he just upped his stock big time ... and is now a SERIOUS FB prospect. Imagine his numbers at 250-255 vs 290
2) How poorly JG's numbers were ... across the board. I know he was a 37" vert and 10'3" b-jump 2 years ago ... not sure what happened. He has never had great shuttle times, .... and only 14 reps .. wow. Today could not have helped. Hopefully he'll get some workouts and get another chance.
Glad to see Bango did well.

No worries. Some of the things Margus did (i.e. dropping in to coverage) were things that linebackers do, obviously. But I asked a scout who said that the Jets were considering him only as a DE (albeit one who has to be able to run, find the ball in mid-air, etc.) As for his ball skills, Margus showed that he hasn't tried to catch a lot of passes (the short throws that Rex Ryan drilled at him from short range handcuffed him a little), but for someone who hasn't spent time chasing receivers, he was startlingly good at racing under the ball, judging the ball in mid-flight and getting under it to haul it in.
PSCA: where did you get your sheet? Mine shows Zach Line ran a 4.72 on his first run and a 4.62 on his second; Taylor Reed ran a 4.75 on his first run and a 4.66 on his second. (I have the official sheet, and yes ... they're VERY close.)

I don’t want to sound like a smart a--, but I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. I was sent a pic of a participant tally sheet from someone … could have been an individual scout sheet and not the official one that you have … or my eyes could be worse then I think … some of the print is hard to make out.
But it has T-Reed at 4.71 and 4.63 … ZL 4.70 and 4.65. My sheet matches up very close to the results you posted on a diff post. With very small exceptions I.E. beside the 40 .. it shows T-Reed 20yd shuttle at 4.25 not 4.22 and Austin Fuller at 4.30 not 4.32. I apologize, not trying to stir anything up… like I said, very few diff … and with the print and my old eyes … don’t bet on me. I should not have said anything … sorry.

No problem at all. There were a lot of scouts out there writing down results. The one distributed to the media might have been recorded by someone else, but like you said, the results listed on each sheet are very close to each other...
