ESPN Press - SMU

Has anyone else notice that SMU is getting alot more attention media wise?
I think it has to do with a few factors, but I am pretty young, so I may be ignorant.
1. ESPN, media in general has watched and commentated as conference realignment reshaped college sports. The Big East was by far the b*tch of this change - gaining us press by that fact alone.
2. Upgraded league - despite the nay-sayers, Big East / C-TBA is an upgrade worthy of more coverage.
3. ESPN deal - now we have ESPN analysts that are required to cover our league and follow us.
4. SMU is a program with promise. I have already noticed a lot of good things on SMU from the media, which is cool.
5. Coaching hires - obviously worthy of some respect.
In summary, I believe we are a well covered conference, and will continue to be. We will be somewhat underdogs - which can bring in fans. We can use this platform to further legitimize ourselves. I don't see us as 'have-nots' anymore. I think we are on the right side of the ledge, but way too close for our comfort. If we keep investing we can come out on top sooner rather than later.
