Former SMU safety Chris Banjo took that unusual route to get his chance at a professional career, signing last week with the with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Banjo visited with PonyFans.com to discuss his year away from the game, his reaction to signing with the Jags, and what he expects of his chances to stick with the team.

Josh LeRibeus (Redskins)

The Jaguars took two safeties in the draft. Best of luck to Chris!

I think the best thing to happen to Banjo is that he's going to a team with new coaches, so they didn't have built-in "favorites" when he arrived.
Good luck, Chris!
