Margus Hunt is 6-8, 277 pounds and ran a 4.6 But Miami just traded up to get Oregon DE/LB Dion Jordan, who measured in at 6-6 and 248 at the Combine. Jon Gruden just talked about how Jordan is a great athlete but has never played a lot of plays, has had a shoulder problem, inconsistent athlete, etc.

I can accept Jordan going ahead of Margus, but Datone Jones? Mistake by the Packers.

I agree with you Roach. I saw Jones play quite a bit. Margus has a lot more potential. I am also a bit surprised at a fairly low rating for Margus.

Go Ponies!

Margus is bigger, faster and just learning to play. His room for improvement is massive.

I have more room for improvement than Margus so that is not a measuring stick. It is whether or not the team that takes him thinks he can get better. Obviously they passed on me.

One problem is that Margus is almost as old as mrydel. 26? If it takes him a couple of years to develop 28?

True. I talked to several scouts at Pro Day, and asked a few about that. Some said that was a concern, while others said that while Hunt has only played for four years, he has taken less of a physical beating than just about every other player in the draft ... "except the kickers," one scout said.

So there are differing schools of thought. Some see him as an old rookie, some see him as a very smart, athletic guy who is just learning and could have a longer career than many.
