It's hard enough to get noticed on a practice field as a true freshman, and even worse when a player shares the name of a famous father who excelled at the same sport. But that's exactly what SMU receiver Deion Sanders did in the spring. The son of the NFL Hall of Famer visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how he was able to learn enough and make enough plays that head coach June Jones says Sanders has a chance to contribute in 2013 on offense and special teams.

That would be because I didn't load it correctly ... And now I'm away from my computer. Sorry -- will re-load it in a few hours.

Sorry about the mix-up before. Looks like it's working now.

My first assumption pertaining to my computer, is always, "how did I screw this up?" Thanks.

Good story. Sounds like he works hard, no matter what his name is.

Surprised the writer didn't mention why the many moves from school to school and what is a post-graduate school after high school. I have heard the service academies have a prep school but is there a post graduate school where players can work on their athletic skills/academics before college and retain their eligibility?

A lot of private/prep schools, especially in the eastern part of the country, offer post-graduate years - often to students who want to sharpen their academic records and/or standardized test scores to improve their chances at gaining admission to colleges. But there also are many, including Sanders, who take a PG year in order to compete for another year in a particular sport, or sometimes just to get bigger and stronger, in an effort to increase options for college athletics. It's not uncommon at all.
