"If the Big 12 does decide that they want to expand, it will have to focus efforts on members of the American Athletic Conference, the former Big East that will end up housing many former members of Conference USA. With the departure of Louisville to the ACC, the number of appealing options for the Big 12 has never been lower.
Cincinnati is still on the table as a possibility, but otherwise the Big 12 would have to look into expanding into Florida or bringing back former members of the SWC like SMU or Houston. "
"Florida schools like Central Florida or South Florida would be appealing because they could help open up the fertile state of Florida to Big 12 recruiting efforts, but they wouldn't bring enough television money to the table to make them viable options based on what Bowlsby has been saying."
I'll believe it when I see it but still something to discuss since there's not much else going on

In order of actual possibility -
Cincy
USF
UCF
Houston
SMU
I will also believe it when I see. Everyone spit balls this time of year sincve not much is going on. It'll never happen. Maybe Cincy will get a shot at somepoint, USF after that, but I still highly doubt it

I'd say we have a better shot at the SEC or the BIG 12 if they all went to 18 teams. Didn't I read the B1G is thinking 20 teams?

The Big 12 could add Cincinnati and BYU then call it a day. I just don't see DeLoss Dodds ever allowing SMU/UH into the Big 12.

SEC is not 100% impossible. Games in Dallas have value, and more importantly, IF they want to add, and IF grants of rights are as ironclad as people say, there just aren't many options left for them

I still think as long as Texas is in the big 12, we don't have a prayer unless Dodds is gone...then maybe. First things first...we have to start winning at least 10 games a year, every year for anyone to want us.

BREAKING: I have confirmed from an incredibly close, super high profile insider, that SMU actually IS going to the SEC next year!!
LSU, bama, Tennessee, ole miss, miss st, Arkansas, vandy, Florida, Kentucky, a&m, Georgia, south carolina will be leaving however. Tulsa, Tulane, ECU and several other teams to be named will also be joining. Also, the media contract will be renegotiated and the name has been sold to the departing teams.
But great news!!!!
