The American Preview: How did we get here anyway?

"What we have now is a conference that returns a BCS bowl victor looking to make a run at a BCS championship game appearance with a Heisman hopeful leading the offense. Will anyone be able to challenge them or is it clearly Louisville's conference to lose in 2013?"

I think the Coogs and their 17 returning starters (10 on O, 7 on D) have something to say about that along with a few other teams. Loserville barely escaped a 3-9 USF team and lost to a mediocre Syracuse team to name a few. They ain't going undefeated.

great teams overcome adversity. Even great teams almost always have to dodge a bullet from an inspired mediocre team. You forgot to duck against Texas St.

Houston is returning 17 starters from the team that surrendered 72 points to us last year? Good to know.

The more starters you return from last year's team, the worse your chances for next year get.

When one has nothing intelligent to say, resort to trolling, as demonstrated by the posters above me but then again, when you have low self-esteem in your team and coach like most ponies do, I suppose you can't help it.

I'm sure that losing record helped Ghetto High's esteem as well.

We went 5-7, lost to Texas State, gave up 72 points to you and STILL put more butts in seats PLUS outrecruited a SMU team that had one of its best years in the last two decades including a bowl win over a decent Fresno team.
We had almost nothing but Freshmen and Sophomores starting last year and with almost all of them coming back (17 out of 22), we will easily be one of the most experienced teams in the conference and perhaps country. There's no reason why we don't start off 5-0 at the very least.

Houston enrollment: 40,000
SMU enrollment: 6,500
Please stop the nonsense about attendance.

Our percentage attendance kicks CH's in the teeth. Learn to Mathing, it aren't hard to dividing.
