This didn't take as long as one might anticipate.

Question for the lawyers, is standing an issue in this case?

The Paterno family is having a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that Joe was child-rape enabler for a decade

Paterno clan would be better off to shut the heck up. Penn State alumni continue to prove winning football is more important than the victims with these attempts to unprove it.
Saw a guy with a Penn State shirt the other day and I immediately think of their pedophile scandal.
I really do hate Penn State.

agreed.

I've been dying to see the many victims sue the Paterno estate for his part in enabling the crimes. Perhaps, if the estate were depleted a few million $$, the family would finally go quietly into the night.

Still, with the persistence of Penn State defenders proclaiming their institutional victimhood, it displays much, if not all, that is wrong with college athletics and its fans.

I have to agree. I am very disappointed by the overall reaction of Penn State supporters on this one, even if it is not the majority is a sizable and vocal bunch when it is pretty obvious that this was an institutional decision. Where priorities of some of these people are is just dumbfounding.

hope the family hasn't opened a can of worms. Who knows what witnesses could be called and what they might have to say about what Joe knew or didn't know. They might live to really regret this decision.
