Sounds like an outstanding young man, and the fact that he has played against some big-time college teams should be a major boost for the young guys on the O-line.

Good point, ponyte. As big and strong as he seems to be, I really like his confidence. He seems to KNOW he can step in and play. His arrival makes me even more anxious for football season to arrive!

This is a great example of how the Graduate Transfer Rule ideally works. Kid is a hard worker academically but I think its pretty obvious reading between the lines that he was pushed out to make room from more recruits at UT. Everybody wins. SMU likely would do the same thing with 5th year non-starters
