I just felt this needed its own thread. Our team is about to take a huge stride forward and it starts here.

I believe the tech staff will have them fired up, but our staff will have the Stangs

prepared and focused, and fired up, we will beat t.t.

Like someone said in an earlier thread, if we're not competitive in this game, I will be extremely disappointed. New coach for TT, new QB for TT, and it's at our house on national TV. If you can't get up for that (players AND coaches) then I don't know what to tell you

JJ knows that his team has to perform in this game. And the offense is going to look very different, Tech have no idea what's about to hit them.

So Tech will suck because of their new coach but we'll be awesome because of our new coaches.

Tech is breaking in a new coach and a new QB. That is not easy. We have experience at key positions and some new elements to our offense. I'm not saying they will suck, but we will beat them. Like we did Fresno.

Is the game being moved to Hawaii?

The trick to winning this one will be preventing Tech from taking an early lead, if they really do come in as fired up as the reports say they will. Half time adjustments are going to be the place for an experienced/seasoned coaching staff to decimate a bunch of young guns. If we can't win the second half, we have problems.

As long as we don't dig ourselves an early hole, I can see us pulling of the upset in this game. Especially at home.

I see us losing this game.. nothing that has happened in the past 5 years under JJ tells me otherwise. Maybe they have a new coach, but their talent is far more superior. I'd be ecstatic if we win though

Tech has better athletes at almost every position. Tech doesn't have a QB problem. At positions they are rebuilding-they are rebuilding with better talent than we have seen around here. I think Tech should be favored by 5-7 points.

Tech lost a lot of players on their defense as well. Their defensive line has very little depth.

I think everyone is underestimating Jones' ability to not have our team prepared for the opening game. If nothing else he is consistent with this.

We did okay against SFA to open the season a couple of years ago........

When I hear we are doing some full speed scrimmage during two a days I will start saving up some soul to trade for hope.
