"Jones said SMU is trying to get back to an offense that will throw it 75 percent of the time as opposed to the 60-40 ratio they crept toward last season."

nothing like a little "teaser" to get us excited about the possibilities for 2013. At this stage of SMU football's rebirth, it's all about getting the guys to perform to/beyond their abilities
the best thing about opening the season against an old SWC opponent as a heavy underdog is that one of these years...

Wow, that was a fair, well-written, even-handed, objective article about SMU penned by...Dan Wolken. I'm somewhat shocked.

I was thinking the same thing. Dans a [deleted] but this wasnt bad. Calling them offensive geniuses is a little far fetched.

BTW, I have read the "Admirals" and it is a marvelous story of WWII Naval leadership and how each of our 5 Star Admirals contributed to victory. Nimitz and King are especially appealing.

"We want to lead the nation in passing, that's for sure," Mumme said. "We want to win a whole bunch of games.
What's the name of our conference? We want to win that."

Love it.

-61 years old
-32.6% winning percentage in FBS
-left Kentucky on probation
That would be definitive proof that God hates SMU football.
