Kind of a carrot thrown to Navy seems like. With the game moving to Annapolis, you'd think Navy will be the AAC rep if they are bowl eligible

Seems like an even trade for the Pinstripe Bowl. We really need a solid bowl to replace the Citrus Bowl (Russell Athletic) though!

Annapolis is a great venue and proximity to DC is wonderful. I attended our game against Navy there and it is an impressive campus and city on Chesapeake Bay with great tradition. Easy flights into Baltimore, btw.

Hard to imagine we will ever be a likely candidate for that bowl with other teams in much closer proximity. But it is still good news for the conference to snag a bowl against the P5.

In summary, in addition to Military Bowl in Annapolis, The American needs a Bowl game in Florida, (perhaps two, St. Pete and Miami), Texas and Memphis and then we are good to go.

The SEC has been talking to the Texas Bowl to replace the loss of the Cotton to the playoff rotation. Unless the Big 12 drops it(unlikely) the AAC will be shut out of Houston.

Hey you insiders---

Any talk about starting a new bowl game at Ford? Seems like AAC may need to CREATE a Texas bowl if we get shut out. No way can a conference that has teams in Houston, Dallas, Tulsa and N.O. get shut out of having a bowl in the LONE STAR STATE!

Agreed...or can we get it on that Heart of Dallas Bowl at the Cotton Bowl? What about the one in Ft. Worth?

Good chance Little Rock starts a new one but it will be tied to the Sunbelt.
