Even though they got rid of our blog, Fortuna is still writing about us. I guess they're trying to appease us or something. I still hope they bring back our blog, but in the meantime, this is a pretty good article.

Comment and show your support that SMU deserves a spot in a blog from our so called "media partner"

So GG is now used to the system and we are going to change it?

Granted JJ system is dated and needs new life, hopefully this new hybrid system won't be too difficult to for GG to learn.....

Gilbert throws picks on screen passes, I'm not so sure the system is the problem.

Bo Levi threw picks on shovel passes...an INT on a screen is an improvement.

Great final quote by Mumme, "What's the name of our conference, we want to win that."

That should be our battle cry for this season "Win That!"

How about:

"We're BCS now....start acting like it"

This is the essence of our great hope. Can our DISTINGUISHED offensive mind-trust devise an offense so diabolical that - executed properly - will overwhelm the opposing forces? I SAY YES!!! (But time will tell).

It will be interesting to see how the vertical passing game and horizontal passing game get meshed together coherently where the offense is really more productive. I think the biggest benefit from Mumme is moving to a more up-tempo offense. I can't watch the QB trot to the sidelines anymore.

One interesting contrast between Jones' offense and Mumme's is that Mumme's (at least at Kentucky) went with, I believe, 8 basic plays, just run out of different formations. It was EXTREMELY simple. I would image that JJ's ideas are going to win out, but it was a complete contrast to the read and react complexity of the RnS.

"Just wait until he knows the system."

It will be a lot of deep outs

So funny how these reporters rip each other off on stories
