Football Jerseys
Why is it that we can't buy a Nike replica football jersey? I see that Houston sells one. To me this is unacceptable.

It's Adidas, not Nike, but the American store has one with the new shoulder stripes:

We've come a long way since that awful one-size-fits-none generic "1911" replica jersey crammed in the back corner of the bookstore.

Those look pretty snazzy. If only there were available in blue.../sigh

I still can't figure out why they don't sell blue jerseys. Even if they won't wear them on the field (which they should, but that's another argument for another day), they ... would ... sell.

They don't even have the blue ones in NCAA Football this year. At least they had them last year.... We're about the only team that doesn't have some form of an alternate jersey

Hot damn...a uniform thread.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Re: Football Jerseys
I cannot imagine there being too much demand for SMU "game" jerseys. Why would anyone (besides pepperbellies and hillbillies going to cowboy games) want to wear a football jersey in public? Game jerseys are for the team to wear. Fortunately, I have seen very few people wearing jerseys at SMU games - usually fat old men wearing a vintage back or receiver number.

I suppose you're confused as to why people don't ride horses and buggies to get places anymore or why everyone has a phone in their pocket as well?

Re: Football Jerseys
I am not talking about game jerseys, just the replica-esque ones that they usually sell. Every other team in the conference has at least one football jersey on sale that is current and ours is at least 2 years old.
Rather in keeping with some of the comments on this thread though, I have another idea. Why not sell polo shirts that say"mustangs" under the collar, so when you pop it, everyone can see!

I'll occasionally bid on a game worn jersey that's signed in which I frame it for wall hanging in our game room.

Typical sh*tty smu alum attitude that prevents us from having a real college football atmosphere, and makes it instead much more like a golf tournament. Thanks for illustrating the point for everyone.

Yes, UW must be so embarrassed by their fans. I hope we never look like this.
