Depressing that year 6 and the so called "experts" think we "might" be able to win 6 games. Hope we've got a QB ready to go in 2014!

Who knows? There are so many true unknowns.

And the so-called "experts" of Texas Football picked us 2nd in the American. It really does depend on whether JJ has "found" his QB at last.

Oh he found him. Let's see if we can get him protected.

D Line will be the true question. We have to be able to stop people.

Not if we can outscore them.

I expect the improvement in the offense to more than compensate for defensive struggles. I think we will see more high scroing games this year.

I agree. I think we will score significantly more, and have the depth on defense to be solid, and a much better secondary than we have seen in a while.

Just a tip - you can't take everyone in the conference on an under. At some point somebody has to win the games.

Montana St, Memphis, Temple, UConn we absolutely should win.

Cincy, TCU, A&M we absolutely should lose.

Tech, Rutgers, Houston, USF and UCF are not going to be that great (UCF is the best and we have them at home). We will win two games out of that bunch, minimum. If the over under really is 6, I would bet heavily on the over. Rutgers won't have enough offensively to keep up with us, Tech won't have the new offense clicking in the first game, Houston is taking a step back (they don't even want Piland), and USF is just not a very good team even if it is a road game.

I think USF has more athletes than people realize and that they way under performed last year. Their breaking in a new coach, but I still think we are going to have play well to beat them-especially since its on the road.

Well said, im thinking 6 wins, 7 would be great. Defintitely time to win some we arent supposed to. No Rice and Tulane meltdowns.

I think people remember the USF from like 6 years ago. Some years the blow out horrible teams in non-conference and get off to a 4-0 start, but here are their conference records:

2012: 1-6
2011: 1-6
2010: 3-4
2009: 3-4
2008: 2-5

I haven't really read much that expects them to turn a corner this season.

I read in some preview mag (forget which one) that South Florida is supposed to be much better this year. Either they lost a ton of talent from 2011 or had a bunch of injuries or something, but the general feeling was that they were a lot better than their record last year.

Considering the talent we graduated last year, making another bowl game will be a good year. It sounds like we have a lot of young talent in the pipeline, but we're replacing experience, as well as talent.
