I am just glad that college football is not a business-its all about the student athlete

That's insane. SMU should do the Wall of NFL jerseys that they have. Recruits would probably be surprised as to how many guys we actually have playing pro ball right now. I'm sure it would help.

I like the design to always keep players conveniently located to weight room, training room, lounge, meeting rooms, locker room..
That said, it's gonna be hard to acclimate back to a studio apartment after graduation.
Nothing like peaking early...

Man, do we need some new energy! There are SO many things about SMU to sell a recruit on. I LOVE that wall of NFL jerseys idea - including all of the NFL Hall of Famers we have (more than most, and almost as many as Alabama, certainly more than any of our regional rivals that's for sure: more than TCU and aTM combined). Have their pictures, etc, up on a wall next to their jerseys (including non-players like the guy who actually FOUNDED the entire AFL! . . . and a current NFL owner . . . ED seems to be willing to pitch in, give the guy alone an entire section just for him). There's so much history here, we need to SELL SELL SELL it!
Here's the list if anyone's interested:

For the record, Lamar hunt passed away a few years ago. But, yes it's amazingly impressive he went to SMU and founded the AFL. He should have a spot on our hopefully to be constructed pro wall of fame

If you haven't already, check out the biography Lamar Hunt: A Sporting Life. Great read.

Indication that Bama gets it: they already have Miliner's Jets jersey, and he was drafted this year. Impressive.

Seems like there might have been a few other hints the last few years, but glad you figured it out.

You're right, of course, and I think it's funny that it is referenced in this SI article on the PAC 12 stand against explicitly for-profit universities competing in NCAA Division 1. The article correctly points out the hypocrisy of universities seeking every bit of profit they can, just not explicitly.
