But The Ticket's dominance in this market is all about ratings. The June radio ratings have trickled in for the Dallas-Fort Worth sports talk scene. Here are some facts:
-- Among all listeners all week: Ticket (2.6); ESPN (2.1); The Fan (1.0).
-- Men 25-54 weekdays: Ticket (6.6); ESPN (3.6); Fan (2.1)
-- Men 25-54 weekdays 6 a.m.-7 p.m.: Ticket (8.7); ESPN (3.3); Fan (2.2)
-- Highest-rated hour Men 25-54: Ticket's Hardline 6-7 p.m.:(10.8)
-- 2nd highest-rated hour Men 25-54: Ticket's Dunham & Miller 9-10 a.m.: (10.6)
-- Lowest-rated hour Men 25-54: Fan's R.J. & Shan 6-7 a.m.: 0.7
-- 2nd Lowest-rated hour Men 25-54: Fan's Ben & Skin, 4 p.m. (1.4)
It might be time for "The Fan" to rethink their programming choices.

Oh puke. More Ticket stuff? ESPN Radio was the only sports station worth listening to (except for SMU road games, of course). Time for music radio and the CD player when this change takes place.

Personally I'm peeved 107.5 changed its format from internacional etc to more Vicente Fernandez stuff. Hopefully the Fan changes format otherwise there's gonna be a whole lot less pitbull, wisin y yandel, daddy Yankee etc

Hmmm. Interesting. Market is too flooded, there are only so many sports ears to go around. Slater does ok on the Fan, I wonder if Galloway is done? I heard Chris Arnold on the Fan I think - man, how does he still have a gig?? Mike & Mike is national and gives a good perspective. I can't deal with the Musers at all. Gordo is a moron. Norm is pretty good. Him and Ducey is great together.

The Ticket is beyond awful. Morning guys are almost tolerable, except Gordon. Norm is fine, although he's not a Ticket employee, apparently, because he actually talks about sports. Sturm is OK, but Dan is horrible. The Hardline is the worst crap on the air in Dallas, and that includes the garbage the Fan rolls out there. If they mess with the ESPN Radio lineup, they're fools ... so the ESPN lineup is about to change.

Ticket haters suck. ESPN and The Fan are garbage. There is a reason The Ticket absolutely destroys their competition and have for the last 20 years.

If you ask me, the reason why the Ticket has destroyed the competition has nothing to do with sports, and everything to do with the juvenile, prurient tastes of its demographic that also turns crappy reality tv into hits, Kim Kardashian into a celebrity, and Natty Light a big seller for frat parties.

Satellite radio is awesome.

LOL. You sound like Grandpa Urine. The thing that makes The Ticket fantastic and generates such a loyal listener base is that they balance sports talk with "guy talk". There is a reason they get nominated for Marconis and have dominated this region in their demographic for two decades. Just goes to show you can't please everyone.
