1-2 SMU vs 1-2 TCU The Battle For .500

Both teams are not looking that good. TCU scored 10 against Tech and SMU score 23 but TCU held Tech to 20 while SMU allowed 42. Both teams have injured players. Should be a hard fought game for both schools.

I agree that it should be a hard fought game by both teams.

I don't think it is going to be much of a battle

Montana State was a battle for us. We're no match for TCU.

I usually like going to the Iron Skillet games at Amon Carter. So glad I opted not to buy tickets this year.

whatever happened to the "we'll be 1-3, but can still win the conference" attitude?

man, we lose to two top 25 teams and the sky is falling. so, if we beat TCU, or at least hang with them til the end, do we still consider this a lost season even though we haven't played a single down in conference?

I think people are more concerned with how we lost and not just losing. But both TCU and SMU are 1-2 so this is close to a must win game for both teams. But like you said that we need to at least hang with them if not it would be even more concerning.

But did anyone think we would hang with A&M? No. So we are where we thought we'd be. Just sucks to get throttled.

Exactly. Tcu and tech are suppose to be toss ups. AM was a guarantee loss but I didn't expect that crap of a performance it was so pitiful.

I do think many expected to score more than 13 points since SHSU scored 28 on them. We need to play better whether we win or lose against TCU imo.

I thought we would hang with them until the game got out of hand.

Unfortunately, this time we were never in it which was extremely disheartening.

We did hang with them until the game got out of hand. It just took only a few minutes.

I agree the lack of offensive production in our loss to A&M and the constant mistakes, penalties, turnovers, bad decisions on special teams made our loss feel worse. We need to win at TCU to get some momentum and confidence back before conference.

well, then let's right the ship by beating TCU...i'm sure even that won would have its detractors on here...
