One positive is that we out-gained TCU against the Tech defense.

The negative is we are playing TCU and not Tech.

SMU is inept on defense so the advantage goes to the team with better talent (TCU).

SMU played them at home. TCU played them in Lubbock. That could easily account for the difference.

This is completely wrong, let me emphasize completely. We started the 4th Quarter only down 20-16 (and we all know it should have been at least 20-23). Tech then scored their last 2 TD's in the final 5 minutes to go and only went up by 25 with 2 minutes left in the game and so only about 50 yards of our offense came when they were up by 25. so let's look at the stats through the first 3.5 quarters.

350 of our total yards came in the first 3 quarters including sustained drives of 72, 65 and 81 and so the 4th quarter fell about in line with the other 3, 1 sustained drive of 75. I am convinced we would have won this game if it were not for that 1 awful call and everyone would be feeling a lot differently about this season.

I am not giving up hope that we can get to 7 wins until after the Rutgers game as it and TCU will be very telling.

According to the drive chart, 128 of our yards came after they went up 25. So slighty over a 1/4 of our total yards and half our touchdowns came in garbage time. Only 81 of our yards led to a TD while the game was still competitive, the rest led to FGs, punts and a garbage time score.

Could be a close game.
