Especially with TCU missing a couple of key players. I guess I have been reading to many of JasonB's dissertations and putting to much into the practice reports here.

Guess their players with BCS offers are better than are players with few/no BCS offers...........

Unfortunately, this teams just has too many shortcomings. Not seeing a bowl game this year. I'm particularly disappointed by the sheer number of mistakes and penalties.

Patterson said that he played man to man because he did not think SMU's receivers were that fast.

Good thing we've recruited 30 or so of em in the last 5-6 years

they aren't very fast and they aren't strong to the ball either. Holman has shown some improvement but other receivers go up strong to the ball and catch some of these jump balls that he never comes down with

I was actually shocked that we were ahead at halftime...we need to be happy from that.
I actually thought we would lose by 50. TCU outclasses us man for man and three deep.
I was very proud of our defense playing above their heads in the first half. A couple of really good pressure moments against an young non traditional QB that can get flustered with an all out blitz.
The defense did a good job in spots.
But at the end of the day, TCU's athlete's are big time recruits, big 12 talent, and we are not.
Anyone that came into this game thinking we had a chance is seriously deluded.
Tommy 2A will always get pounded by Frank 5A. Just the way it is......
Like it or not, we are no where close to TCU.
