Is there any hope we see JJ act like a coach and bench GG for NB? I won't run down players, they are trying to compete. However when a guy just can't get the job done or doesn't have the skills we need to look to the future. HC change or not these are the players we have and we need to start seeing what others are capable of.

The problem is not at QB the problem is our WR corps that can't get open.

Especially since the OCC is our pre-season and we're playing teams we cannot realistically hope to beat.

4 INTs and a Fumble is a problem. Again I'm not putting GG down, I just think it's time to look ahead.

Put the blame where it belongs. This isn't one player's fault. The Oline was a disaster against TCU and GG was sacked, hit, hurried more times by TCU then all other teams combined. The O line was outplayed and less physical than the TCU line.

Receivers giving up on plays certainly didn’t help. And our receivers were just too physically weak to get open. Hard to make passes when receivers can't get open.

GG has had a remarkable year despite having some deficiencies around him.

JJ could help a little by putting in a few plays that allow JJ to get outside the pocket. Some roll outs or bootlegs would allow GG options (pass or run), and decrease the pressure on the O line to protect.
And it would put some pressure on defenses and might allow our weak receivers a chance to get open.

35 is saying something that no one wants to say and he is right. But GG is better than he was last year. The truth is the problem is both QB and WR imo. No one is totally innocent.

You're right! Lets keep doing the same thing. I'm sure it will all workout.

No hope of that happening, I think June believes that Gilbert gives us the best chance to win (thus helping June get extended) so health permitting he'll keep playing him. Burcham isn't likely to do much better with the mediocre talent we have on offense.

I think Acker and Joyner amongst others are doing pretty well.

People. I'm not saying GG sucks. I am saying that as a fan this season is quickly going south. Why not get other guys reps that can help us going forward. I don't see a whole bunch of games that we are going to win this year. Damn, it's like I've told you guys that you have a fat girlfriend. Take your heads out of the sand and look at the bigger picture.

I understand what you are saying. I wanted to see Burcham more against A&M and some against TCU. But not having played a conference game yet I think it only fair to see how GG will perform and how we stack up. If things begin to slide then you should make a move to try and be ready for next year. Too soon now in my opinion other than mop up if we get way ahead or way behind. But I really do hope Burcham gets some real playing time this year.

many problems. QB, WR, RB, DB, LB, and Special Teams. . . The real problem is the OL/DL. . . That's where games are won & lost

The really funny thing is that if we truly had two offensively genius coaches, they would have figured out that a read option offense would be ideal for our current personnel. Gilbert is mobile and read option is zone blocking (which we already do). This would make corners pinch and allow some home run attempts.
